Thanks for all the replies everyone.

I looked at the Gold Dot ammo and it all has a purple sealant on the primer. I’d assume this means it is good to go? will test first obviously.

I used to do a lot of spearfishing. Always carried a .44 mag slip on bang stick. We just painted the primer and case to bullet with sally hanson hard as nails fingernail polish. Never had one fail.
