I think it’s gonna get interesting if we ever find out where all the money actually went. Sure, there are splashy headlines about spending money on ridiculous endeavors. Is that where the money really went though?
I’m quite sure a large amount went down various NGO rabbit holes to nefarious purposes. Also quite certain that a whole lot of pockets were lined, favors repaid, etc. I want to know the story behind the story. Chase that spending down to it’s ultimate destination.
Probably not gonna happen though. One, that takes time and money to perform the investigations. More importantly I don’t think anyone in Washington wants us to know. If you don’t think conservative hands are just as dirty as the rest, well… Your naivete is kinda cute.

It just snapped into focus why I’ve instinctively distrusted Gabbard.
All the shit she was taking from Biden, they never messed with her security clearance or commission… is my understanding correct that if a superior officer wants to give you an order as asinine as “you can’t wear the color purple off duty” it’s as legally binding as “take that hill or die trying”? If she were REALLY a threat to the Deep State militarily OR politically they’d have yoinked her clearance, or recalled her from Reserve to Active for Court-Martial under Article 134 and sundry others and used it to nuke her ass into glass both criminally and politically - only legit reason I could see for holding back on that is if she was expected to have more value as a martyr for “the enemy” than an example or an Off The Chessboard.

I’ve never had anyone catch me in one of these UCMJ “Catch-22”, though a couple have tried.
There comes a time though when you need to count yourself ahead and walk away.

Gabbard is a still a democrat (yeah I know she says she switched to republican) with some redeeming positions that narrowly fit well in MAGA. Musk’s team found another $1.9 bbbillion that had been ‘misplaced’ by the Biden admin. It had been hiding somewhere in HUD. It took one day to find it after Musk began looking at HUD.
Prior to Musk, one could only imagine how many billion$ were behind the curtains in Washington… now we’re starting to learn the truth.

Saw a sticker on a car this morning “The only minority hurting America are the Billionaires…”. Kind of funny it was on a new, nice Mercedes SUV…
But are all those actually getting SS checks or is it just a list of people who have been on SS? Before I get too outraged about it (and it likely matches the dead voter rolls in blue states coincidentally) I’d like to know if it is indeed $$$ being paid out. Now, if it was then WHO is getting it?
I used to work at a Fed agency and I had a lady using my clinic for certain medical needs. She passed away and for some reason almost 2 years later I had a reason to look at her chart (for something like payments to our vendor or similar). The way this particular agency’s system pops up on your screen should indicate if she was deceased. It didn’t. I thought that was odd but not unheard of; sometimes it takes the family or a friend to shut off the SS/VA/Medicare and it isn’t an immediate priority if a loved-one dies. This was like 18 or 19 months later, and since the VA and SS notify each other if a person dies that led me to wonder if both were still being paid?
I did my due diligence (most wouldn’t have, too lazy) and went to the Business Office with it. The woman I was talking to looked up the pt’s address and called the county coroner, identified herself and why she was calling. Found out “officially” that yes, the lady was deceased. I was a little pissed thinking that someone had over a year and a half of both an 80% VA disability check as well as a SS check. I have zero doubt–but not 100% certain—that nothing but stopping payments was done, i.e. they didn’t go after the low-life sucking up $$$ that was not theirs.
[pure speculation on my part, but I’d bet it was her daughter. She had been listed as the POA on the lady’s demographic sheet, and was probably on a joint bank account with her aging mother like my sister is with my mom]

It’s been a while, but as I recall when my father passed SS sent a letter that his payments were being stopped. Some blah, blah about how to correct if there was an error. I had not thought to inform them yet. So they got the information somehow. I’m guessing from the state, or vital records, or ??? Obviously they have their sources.
I’m guessing that for checks to keep coming a death would need to be very “off grid”. Like Aunt Mabel passes quietly at home and the family tells no one, or some such. I’d need to see proof of millions of checks going to the dead before I’ll believe it as fact.
