Anyone use their training plates?
I am almost done putting a plate carrier together for JIC and want to use it at the flat range to make sure everything gels from standing to prone. Sometimes I shoot in bad weather. Either way I am looking to protect the plates and this seems like a decent way to do it.
No experience with these training plates. The cost looks reasonable and pictured plates look accurate in dimensions.
I’m went the cheap route. Rubbermaid lids that are slighty larger than plate dimensions provide rgidity and reused old AR500 plates for weight. They suck slightly more than ceramic plates in size/weight, so that works for me.
Other folks have used hollow airsoft plates filled with sand or other materials. Those seem viable as well.

I just got a set of the Warrior Trail plates to use in my PIG carrier to demo holsters at gun shows. They fit perfectly, seem sturdy, and have a good weight to them.
Did you ever end up getting these? It looks like Team Wendy only offers theirs in small so I’m looking for other options.

At $120 a set I’d rather pick up a set of actual SAPI/ESAPI’s for $200 and have them pull double duty. Ceramic plates are surprisingly durable…
Where are there plates for $200? The best I can find is $300 each.
