JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A Jacksonville city inspector walked into a Cedar Hills Estate business to issue a warning citation over the display of military flags and employees said she insulted a customer who turned out to be a military veteran.
Surveillance video captured city inspector Melinda Power getting in the face of the customer at Jaguar Power Sports on Blanding Boulevard.
Not only would I tell that woman she can leave whatever waste of paper she needs to and to not let the door hit hr in the ass on the way out.
If she got in the face of any of my customers, I would be contacting LEO for harassment and undue disturbance o the peace. It’s all in the eye-of-the-beholder in our ruined society anyways.
On top of that, I would be flying that flag until I got a citation and would fight that all the way up on a civil liberties case.
How in the flying dutchman’s momma.
Thankfully, COJ is already backpedaling to pick up this mess, but her supervisor was in the store when she said all of this and the supervisor did nothing? No corrective action, nothing? Fire em both…
It’s almost as cringey as some of the justifications for other ignorant deeds.
I get it, but with the video evidence and commentary, it doesn’t matter what she says to weasel out of it. This was clearly something that should have been reviewed and dealt with far more professionally. The fact she even handled the situation in front of a customer, rather than just filling out her piece of paper and walking out, let alone gesturing and acting the way she did to, presumably, one of the people she is employed to service is just flat out redundant.
