Warne or Leupold PRW rings

Hey guys,
I bought a set of Warne QD rings in Medium height for my A4 upper. They seem a bit too low. Has anyone used the Warne QD rings or Leupold PRW rings on their AR? If so what height did you go with?

One thing I was considering was getting a riser rail from Brownells and that way I can still use the scope with Medium rings on my Remington 700. Are these riser rails pretty secure?

I’m using the Warne 30mm Maxima Quick-Detachable Aluminum Picatinny-Style Rings AR-15 Flat Top Matte Ultra High with my Burris Euro Diamond.

I tried to use Leupold QRW Medium height rings on a flat top AR and found the scope was way too low.

I contacted Leupold CS and they recommended my using the ARMS #5 mount. They stated that an additional 1/2 to 3/4 inches in height was required. So, I bought a cheap 3/4 riser, but then I decided to scrap the whole QD ring and riser and bought a one-piece detachable mount. An ADM Recon was a better solution for my needs (cost me $155). A very solid set-up with nearly no loss of zero when removed/ re-attached.
Note: La Rue Tactical makes excellent mounts as well.

The Warne mounts you have are very similar to the Leupold QD, I believe. The exception would be the Warne HIGH AR rings which are produced for a flat top rifle. When I was shopping around, I saw them at Natchez Shooters for around $80-90. Leupold also makes high AR scope rings in the Mark4 line, but they cost around $150 for the set 30MM.

Good Luck,
SkiDevil

P.S. Shop around, you may just find a good deal on the member market place because I have seen quite a few mounts advertised over the last few weeks.
