Want U.S. made tactical pants & shirts!

Who makes tactical pants, shirts, jackets, etc. in the U.S.A.? I am tired of buying products that end up being made in China, Sri Lanka, etc. I don’t buy 5.11 anymore, and just received Woolrich Tactical wear stuff which is made in China! God, I hate that! There’s got to be people out there in the U.S.A that make tactical wear. Who & where are they? :help:

crye precision, some of TAD’s stuff.

I salute you for making the effort to buy American!

www.beyondtactical.com, custom sewn to your specifications from a list of options.

Some of the Arc’teryx stuff is berry compliant (usually Multicam).

Thanks guys! I’ll check those sites out. I am so fed up with foreign imports. My parents are both immigrants who came here back in the 60’s because my dad worked for the U.S. Govt. They did everything right, went through the process, and became United States citizens in the early 70’s. I don’t want to get off track but there is something to be said for U.S. made products vs. foreign ones especially cheap Chinese ones. How can U.S. distributors sell us out? Of course for the almighty $$$ but we need to save America and keep jobs in the U.S. Buy U.S./American made products and support those who make them. I and my family will try the hardest.

Good for you, you’re not alone here.

There’s a good thread on Lightfighter about this same topic. There’s also this list:

This same reason is why I’m switching away from some ‘well known’ brands and am looking at others I know are made here.

The Wilderness makes some excellent ‘urban camo’ shirts (they call them Sonoran Shirts), but they’re pricey @ around $80 each. That said, I own three, and love them. They are my favorite CCW shirts, and they frequently have patterns that are in subdued earth tones.

TAD Gear some arctyrx stuff they are tops.

If you don’t want to buy foreign made stuff for some of the reasons I think you might, then think twice about supporting U.S.-based companies that openly fund and support Greenpeace and other groups you might very well be diametrically opposed to…

Pat

Whups.

now that is a comment I would have expected on another board…

I could give two shits less who given have some money to who and who once upon a time. Now if they made shitty stuff well then a different story you knows. I guess I just went balls deep!

W-T-F? Do you have any evidence to support your statements?

Dave,
“Ask and ye shall receive…”

Ever look at TAD Gear’s second-to-last website? See the list of liberal puke organizations they proudly supported that filled it out? Those are the ones I’m talking about. The same ones I used to see denigrating the US military (and all Law Enforcement), until Obama won his nationwide popularity contest.

Now, that whole section is conspicuously absent on the new site. I seriously doubt that they dropped their support for them, though. More like keeping it low-pro to keep the dollars coming in from guys like you and I.

http://wayback.archive.org/web/ is a neat way to check out older websites that are no longer there - I must admit I have no clue what their particular leanings are though.

Don’t forget about SKD - all our SKD / PIG exclusive gear is proudly made in the U.S. of A!!!

What, a board that doesn’t jive with your desire to be unburdened by fact?

I could give exactly the same number of shits about somethng made offshore or not, if it works as advertised. Spare us the meltdown because he’s pushing valid info that denegrates your superfly warrior-couture chic threads.

Reconcile yourself to the fact that giving money to TAD is giving a portion of that money to various “animal-first” ecoterrorist organizations. They took it off their site after a bunch of meat-eaters started calling them out on it, which was right around the time that they spilled customer credit-card info to god and the world. The scrutiny they got at that time led in to several areas and brought a LOT of questionable-to-galling practices to light.

Buy and wear their stuff at your leisure, but dial back the invective, or stop posting in this thread altogether. Pick one.

I wanted some Tad Gear jackets so bad…in the end…my mom’s tailor friend borrowed one Tad gear jacket I bought and she made me her version of it using the same material…She made it very exact…she is a master tailor for several agencies and does tailoring full time along with the various duties that encompasses the position.

She’s not doing it again because it took alot of work. The zippers was the hardest for her to secure but after measurements she made her own version of it and made it very well… it’s a bit pimpy in my book when I wear it but it works very very well.

All well and good that she can whip up a great copy, but then you’re just missing out on the whole TAD boutique-chic experience…

Just kidding. Sounds like she did a nice job-
Pat

nah…not missing it whatsoever…

people are impressed with it…

I dig it…but like I said…people ask about it but she is never ever going to do it again…
