I don’t know if it is just local or Wal-Marts everywhere but our local WM’s is dumping the Colt AR’s they have in stock.
From what I remember:
6920MP-FDE $850
6940 $1000
6920 SOCOM $1000
I picked up a SOCOM that must have been on the shelf a while because it has a Knights quad rail.
Since the box mine came in had “deleted” written with a Sharpie on the end and the significant discounts, makes me wonder if WM is planning on not handling Colt any more?
Anyone heard?

I really hope not. Being able to tell internet shy folks to just go to walmart and buy a colt instead of buying a dpms, stag, RRA ext from the local shop, is a good thing to have!
The manager of my Wally World sporting department says no and they have 5 Colt’s in the rack. I sure hope he is right but his knowledge is…well…WalMart employee level FWIW
If true, someday we’ll all be old men waxing nostalgic about how we used be able to drive down to our local Wal-Mart and buy Colt Carbines with a can of ammo for about a grand (a grand in the future will be like $100 bucks today).

heard that colts were on clearance/deleted status at the WM’s up here in the 4 state area. sure sounds like they are dumping colt… probably werent selling as well as the cheapo shit rifles.

If any of my local WM’s had 6940’s in stock for $1k, I’d be on it in a heartbeat. It’d look pretty good cut down to 10.5.
They still have a Blackhawk FDE 6920 at the one nearest to me.

I’ve read where Walmarts have Colts cheap but it isn’t the case at the one close to me.
I paid $1600 for a KAC M4 SOCOM at a local Walmart a month ago. Last I checked it has still not been replaced.
I would imagine that Colts move more slowly than the other, significantly cheaper brands.
I am in CA. They do not even carry guns in our Walmarts. Wish they did out hear tho.

I’m surprised Walmart hasn’t already dropped Colt and replaced with cheap product (prob from China) that would sell quickly.
Importation laws and 922r compliance would make that difficult…putting it mildly.
