VZ Grips Picture Thread

I’m in the market for 2 pairs of new grips, one for my Colt Rail Gun and one for my dad’s old school Colt GI. I’m having a hard time deciding between the many different grips and options that VZ offers so I was hoping to get some specific photos of them (since hands-on opportunities are rare for me). I’m thinking Aliens for mine and some wood ones for my dads, but would appreciate any photos of various grips and options. Things like full size vs slim line, bobtail vs super carry vs beveled bottom, and super scoop would all be helpful. Of course recommendations or descriptions without pictures can always be helpful too. Thanks.

ETA - If you post a photo and have any of the options like I listed above, please include how they’re different.

How would you describe the ET’s and DD’s to the Operator’s? What would you say each type excels at?

The Operators are on the rough side but you have a solid, no slip grip. The ETs and the Double Diamonds are MUCH better for a carry gun with a good grip while easier on the hands.

I have a set of Opeator’s that used to ride on a SW1911 PD Commander. Didn’t tame that gun much.

Thumb scoop? The site lists either a thumb notch or super scoop. Do you know which you have? Looks like the thumb notch to me but I have no idea what the super scoop looks like.

sorry, that’s just the notch. I do have a pair of black and gray aliens with the super scoop, I’ll try to get a pic of those up later today so you can see the difference on the aliens.

SIG C3 with Alien Black Desert Sand G10 grips. I found these a little harsh so I lightly sanded them down a bit where my right thumb fell.

STI Spartan with Gatorbacks Green Black Linen grips. These are very comfortable.

I have a few with VZs. I love them. Just ordered a set of the Elite Tactical Carry in Zebra. So far, the Operator IIs are my favorite. I have had the Gatorback, Aliens, Operator IIs. The Operator IIs need 400 grit swiped across the surface about 6-8 times to take off the sharp edges and then they are “just right” for anything I do. I carry IWB or OWB with them and they are no problem.
