$560 with the SPR reticle.

If you look, the $550ish ones on the Leupold site are not SPR reticles. The SPR reticle is priced higher. That being said, products are usually listed for more $ on the manufacturers website than actual dealer prices.

Street price is $580 most everywhere. I found one for $516 but the online seller will not tell me if he is an authorized seller. Product support can get messy if the seller isn’t approved by the manufacturer. GH

If you need a mount Primary Arms usually discounts mounts 30-50 bucks in a package. Example… Buy the Patrol for 579 and add an ADM Recon X for 150, That’s a 30 buck savings. GH

If your military or LE you should sign up for leupolds Fed/Mil program. Ordered my VX-r yesterday for a awesome price. Only downer is that it can take up to 8 weeks to get the order, but the savings are worth it.

With many brands yes - but Leupold doesn’t care where you bought their scope or if you’re the second or third owner. I’ve had warranty service from them on a scope where I was 2nd or 3rd owner, and no hassle for that (the service itself could have been better). Just make certain you are getting a real Leupold, not a Chinese fake. That’s more often a problem with their Mark IV line, and it’s a big enough problem that the Leupold website has a page on spotting counterfeits.

IMHO I don’t think the VX-R 1.5-4x scope is worth $700+, regardless of reticle or version. $516 doesn’t sound too bad for the Patrol model though.

At the moment you can probably find a Burris XTR (gen1, the US-made ones) 1-4x24mm for around $599 closeout price. I think you would find better everything on the XTR, which was originally a $799 scope. Here’s one for $511:

And starting at $580:

$500 and up on ebay:

You want the SPR Reticle.

Amazon has the cheapest price for the right reticle.

If you havn’t yet check out my review of the optic - http://vdmsr.blogspot.com/2013/10/leupold-vx-r-patrol-125-4x20-firedot-on.html

Is the Burris daylight visible?

I wouldn’t pay over $550 for it. And I wouldn’t get it without the SPR ret
