VTAC TRX and iron sights

I finally got around to adding a rear BUIS to my BCM lightweight upper with VTAC TRX Extreme on it.
However, when trying to zero it, the POI was about 12" to the left of POA at 50 yards. Despite trying to move the rear sight to the right, I figured the rail must not be properly aligned. However, I did used a Larue Aimpoint mount to bridge the gap when tightening the screws on the rail and the rail appears to be even relative to the upper.
Could the VTAC rail be canted off to the left? I am thinking of moving the rail a little and seeing how it goes.
Just to make sure, I would need to move rail to the left, right?

I find Larue mounts to be the worst of my options for aligning rails. Carry handles and ADM mounts work really well for me. YMMV.

Get a straight edge and hold it flush with the top of the upper half. Not the point of the pic-rail but the top where the ange stops. Make sure that the end of the rail system is in alignment with the upper receiver.

You would be able to see an alignment issue to the degree you are saying yours is off. I have used a carry handle to align all of my rails I have installed. I have not run into problems yet doing it with a carry handle.
