Greetings -

I’m very interested in hearing some feedback from anyone who owns or has experience with the Noveske version of the VTAC carbine. I did a search and read those threads.

Your thoughts and words of wisdom are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance…

VTAC:D + Noveske:D=:D:D

I do not have experience with this particular rifle edition. But I do have my own noveske configured in the same way. It is an awesome blaster.

Both companies put out a top tier product. So when they went at it together, you can probabley guess the product is of the same top quality.

BTW, SWAT magazine did an article this month about this very rifle.

Note that the Noveske VTAC rifle configuration has recently changed to incorporate the new Troy/VTAC Extreme handguard. Many will regard this as an improvement. I suspect most of the reviews you will surface are on the Noveske/VTAC’s previous incarnation, using the JP handguard, as the new version only released recently. The SWAT magazine article is about the older version.

These rifles are the secks. Shoot great and feel great. I have the older JP tube version, but it’s really nice. For a while I couldn’t decide if I wanted a VFG on the rifle or not, but then the AFG came out and I found the perfect match.

I got mine last week. Have not shot it yet because I was waiting on an aftermarket trigger (I dislike standard milspec triggers) and a 3x ACOG.

  • Handling feels great. It is lighter than my carbine which has a quad rail, and the carbine has a shorter barrel.

  • The rails are modular, but installing them was kind of annoying. There seems to be no easy way to hold the backplate in place while you screw the rail in. I put a Magpul AFG on the bottom.

Taking it out this weekend to zero in the BUIS and the ACOG, hope it shoots nicely.

I use an allen wrench to grab the rail backing, works pretty well if you have steady hands.
