Truth Social is now officially dead. With Trump back on Twitter and Truth struggling to stay afloat. This is the death nail in the coffin for that goat rope of a platform.
From the start, it was simply THE OTHER SITE for him while he was banned from Twitter. He created it with the sole purpose of having a platform where he can’t be blocked, but where he can block others that are critical.
Design wise, it was a soup sandwich, part of it being open sourced and prone to issues. Launch wise, it made Blockbuster declining to buy Netflix seem smart.
I remember the whole issue with only being on one phone platform but not the other. Folks with registered waiting numbers to join and no organization as to who joined first.
Plus, financially speaking it was and is a clown show with Digital World Acquisition Corp not having enough capital for the merger and being on the verge of liquidation right now.
Trump going back to Twitter is the death knell for Truth Social.
But Twitter is not going to be like Truth Social for Trump. On Truth Social, it was and is a Trump echo chamber.
Twitter under Musk is a freedom of speech zone, which means critics of Trump will be loud and around. And Trump snaps at the slightest negative criticism and goes on tirades. So, expect that to happen.
Which for Twitter means drama and drama means clicks and clicks mean money.
Truth Social will be found in the dark dinghy corner of the internet, dead, curled up into itself like a dried spider husk.
Trump on Twitter is like giving a monkey a shotgun…

On some news program, they were discussing how the fact that Trump has a financial interest in TruthSocial means that it kind of limits what he can do on Twitter at least in regards to timing. I’m sure they’ll go after him for that too.
