Looking for a budget hunting scope with illumination.
Both have the same crosshair reticle/dot in the middle with the PA costing less, but the Vortex is 1oz lighter.
ETA: Vortex has 4" eye relief with the PA having 3.5" eye relief

Based purely on experience with other vortex products I would select the vortex however neither of these would be a first choice… For around 500 bucks you can get the Vortex PST 1-4 and its an awesome piece of glass.
Got a new Votex PST 1-4 sitting here myself. Just waiting on a QD mount to show up.
Had the PST on a qd mount for a bit and loved it but it wasn’t what I needed for my uses

That’s the nice thing about QD mounts, switch to the optic I need at the time.
Wish I would have looked at it that way instead of a pile of cash sitting in the safe most of the time…

What use was that?
short range shooting at 100 yards and in for the most part and HD … The aimpoint micro covers that range for me just fine so I didn’t see the need to keep it. While it is a really nice piece of glass it’s just not for me…

I would definitely save and get the 1-4 PST instead if the cheap vortex. If primary arms had their 1-6 in stock I would say go for that.
