Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10?

Anyone got any input on one of these? I am in the process of planning an SPR build and I’m thinking one of these would make a great scope for this type of rifle.

If I didn’t already have a NF I would be all over it for a precision AR type optic. It appears there are very few out so far - I’ve only seen a couple of brief (but favorable) reviews on the PST 2-10.

No personal experience here, but I know the guys over at sniper’s hide have been all over these things. There is a pretty thorough review of the 4-16 and 6-24 scopes over there.

The PST line is rare right now, and has a pretty long waiting list. But it seems that the original growing pains from last year have been resolved and the new scopes are great. You also will be very hard pressed to find better customer support from any other optics manufacturer.

Yep; that is one of the reasons that I am looking at Vortex - they go above and beyond, stay engaged with the shooting community on a wide range of forums and listen to what people think. Unlike Trijicon, with whom I have currently having a such a customer service nightmare that I will never buy any more of their products - but I digress.

I have been waiting on one of these for some time. From what I hear, they are starting to trickle in to Vortex, and out to dealers. I have no idea when they’ll fill all the back orders. Sounds like they are going to be going out in greater numbers shortly. I hope to have mine soon.

I have one mounted up in an LT 104 to put on my LMT 308, but between work, family, weather (read cold) I have been unable to use it. :frowning:

Anybody use one yet? Im looking for a new scope and this one has caught my eye.

I spoke to the owner/big cheese of Snipersparadise dot com (who goes by the name of cmshoot on other forums) at the end of his Precision Rifle class this weekend, and we talked about this scope. he said one of his students was comparing this and the Sightron III and preferred the Vortex because of the quality of the glass and quality of the scope. he heartily recommended it…

I have no experience with either but was just passing this along as a reference point…
