Vortex Strikefire - interesting!

I have a $19 BSA dot on a 10/22 that still works. Parts jiggle inside of it, but it’s still going.

Only problem I’ve had was with a C&H pistol dot. That thing is a turd. Flickers on and off. The problem finally got so annoying I had to yank it and put an Osight C in its place.

I broke down and ordered another from the PSA sale. I’d end up regretting not getting it later.

Exactly. Where things often go haywire is when a dime store optic is installed on something like a 44mag handgun. Fails after a couple shots… then the genius runs to the Internet to tell everyone it’s a POS. In reality, it’s just a moron on the keyboard trying to blame stupid on something other than himself.

Exactly why I first purchased a Burris Fast Fire for my inital eperiments.

I got the Strikefire 2 zeroed at 50 for this sub gun. I like it pretty well.

For whatever reason my Aimpoing PRO in my Scalarworks mount would slip forward and back on the Stribog’s pic rail. I moved it to an AR and it’s fine and Strikefire 2 fits great on the bog.

I’m not too crazy about Vortex but picked up a couple since the price was too good to pass on and I have backup/fun rifles that need optics. One went on a ptr91 that was just too unwieldy with a lpvo. It feels much better with a red dot. The other went on a spare AR. The dots seem fine. Haven’t got to the range yet so I guess we’ll see.

I had a PTR 91 a long time ago. It was a monster to shoot.

I have a Vortex StrikeFire red green dot I bought new in 2013. I shot it on a 5.56 AR for 5-6 years and it now site on a .22LR AR. I sent it back to Vortex after the first year because the battery kept dying. They fixed a short and sent it back and it’s run fine since. I haven’t re zeroed it in 5 years.

Have much more expensive dots from Holosun, Vortex, and Aimpoint, but I’ve honestly been every bit as happy with my StrikeFire dot.

Good to hear. I forgot about Vortex’s great CS.
