I consider myself pretty savy to good gear manufactures but I have never heard of Voodoo Tactical. My question is has anyone here had any experience with them?
I am interested in that plate carrier as it is almost exactly like the old version of tags rampage armor carrier which I can not find anywhere but for sure will not buy from them if they are garbage.
Buddy of mine picked up one of their drop leg molle platforms at a gun show about 4 months back. He wore it once and never put it back on again. When I looked at it, the stitching reminded me of condor…
I too am looking for a carrier but I am thinking about Condor. Several people have said that they are junk and compaired to the high quality rigs they are.
Why I chose Condor is because they have a copy of the USMC carrier made by Eagle that accepts soft armour panels cut like the ones LE uses along with plates and considering all I want it for is to stick the soft panels I already own into this vest and throw it in my bedroom closet beside my rifle. It should hold up considering, God willing, I’ll never use it but for $70 it will do the job if I ever have the need to slip it on around the house.
If Voodoo is like Condor just ask yourself what you will be using it for and if you can get by with cheaper gear for the difference in price. If I planned on ever using a carrier for work or multiple training classes I would buy a better quality one myself.
I have seen condor in use by people who wanted to save a dollar. When their acu condor shit faded and turned purple or pink and their stitching unraveled all I did was say I told you so.
STOP SUPPORTING CHINESE, KOREAN, VIETNAMESE ETC… MADE MILITARY EQUIPMENT just because you want to save some money.
Support the american owned companies most owned by vets who make gear they know we need and want and not the foreign knock offs & copies.
I’ve seen more if their gear fail than survive so one PC working for one person doesn’t make it good kit. And I’ve used it so take that for what it’s worth.
They do make a decent soft shell but it ends there.
What do you do overseas? The framework on how you use it would be very helpful. Are you a civilian pilot that wears it every day flying for multiple hours? Are you a civilian contractor that only wears it flying from FOB to FOB and imediately takes it off when you reach your destination?
