For years I have been looking for a quality A1 length fixed stock. The Cav Arms A1 quality just didn’t do it for me. In a thread below a poster mentioned the Vltor Rifle Modstock. I have scoured the net and have found very little information from actual users of this stock. I did email Vltor and asked about their weight. The reply stated they didn’t have the exact number but that it would indeed be several ounces lighter than a GI A1 stock.
Has anyone personaly used one of these stocks? If so could you provide some feedback on them?
it feels exactly like their modstock if you adjusted the modstock to A1 length. other than that, it’s got longer storage tubes and doesn’t collapse. i can’t think of anything else.
one more thing i forgot to mention - i prefer the clubfoot version for the A1 as opposed to the standard. the clubfoot enables me to hold the stock against my shoulder when using a bipod, or to support it with a bean bag.
