Vltor Clamp On Gas Block Installation

I am trying to install my Vltor GB-2C gas block to my barrel.
How can I get GB and barrel gas port aligned ??
The gas block must sit all the way flush with the barrel shoulder, or I have to leave a gap (see picture) just like regular FSB leave a gap for end cap.

You should leave a gap, but in reality if you look at the size of your hole on the barrel and the gas block you will see that the one on the gas block is several times larger than the gas port on the barrel.
