Virginia Govenor

The Dems are estimating they will announce a win in VA about 10PM tonight.

This will leave VA with 3 Dems and a RINO.

The RINO is rated ok with NRA but he will cave and slide as the years pass.

The Dems are all F rated I believe.

Apparently the Dems paid to fund a Libratarian to steal some votes. Unfortunately that was not brought forth until late last night.

Also in the last 4 days the Dems have contacted 600,000 people which is apparently equal to their entire 2009 effort. They are supposedly even going to split households and singling out the individuals.

Very nasty campaign on both sides from day one. But basically you have to give the Dems credit…

  1. Buy what you can’t win.
  2. Lie
  3. Call in the Clinton machine
  4. Call on the Bloomberg machine
  5. Sprinkle on a little Obama just for good measure
  6. Contact ever possible person you can to win them over

I got an envelope from them with several leaflets for each of their candidates the same day I got my absentee ballot in the mail. Concise and well-presented stuff, I was very disappointed to have gotten something from them and not a thing from the Republicans.

As a libertarian…Sarvis is not one. Not a penis contest to who can be the most libertarian but that guy is a GW believer, his ‘Virginians take care of Virginians’ pledge is basically single payer, he is thinly veiled to being pro-abortion, and he stinks of just not being a CATO type guy at all which is a great resource and think-tank of libertarian ideology. Sarvis? I don’t like or trust him. He seems more like a Vermont civil liberty liberal than anything. That state actually has had better concealed and open cary laws than TX but they have that kinda weird mix of being super liberal socially, big on civil rights…yet so far left they will spout ‘**** the man’ while demanding single payer.

Sarvis is a fake libertarian being supported by Obama bundlers and PACs. Theres a reason why Ron and Rand didnt endorse him. Looks like he siphoned enough votes away from Cuccinelli for the loss. CHANGE you can believe in. The news of the obama support money didnt surface until the morning of election day. Funny how that works. Mac will run that state into the ground now.

took from a comment on an article:

For Cuccinelli would have won this election by more than a 6% margin, if it were not for the underhanded voter manipulation of the Democratic machine. According to Campaign finance records the “Libertarian Booster PAC” was the largest independent contributor to the Robert Sarvis campaign, providing $11,454 to pay for the signature collection that was necessary to get his name on the ballot, and helping to pay for yard signs and campaign materials for him, (and another $4,690 for four Libertarian candidates running for the Virginia state legislature). Official election filings show that Austin, Texas, software billionaire Joe Liemandt contributed 65% of the Texas-based Libertarian Booster PAC’s entire revenue, he is by far their major benefactor. He’s also a top bundler for President Barack Obama. Obviously Sarvis was a Democratically planted spoiler, whose only purpose in the election was to siphon off votes (he got 6.7% of the vote) from Republican Ken Cuccinelli.

The only way that the Democrats could win this election was for them to split the anti-Obamacare vote between Republican and Libertarian, but there was no libertarian candidate at the time, so they made a fake one up and funded him to get on the ballot. In other words; They had to cheat!

This will show the fools the libertarians are. They got played and played for the dolts they are. Now you can kiss VA good bye along with a few other states that have been ran to the ground by Democrat socialist.

Course, the GOP are not trying hard enough.

I’m wondering if they don’t really want to win, if maybe they’re being paid to take a dive. I wonder if “political consultants” and “campaign strategists” make more money losing than winning, or at very least make the same either way.

I’m also stuck on what to do with the information from paying attention. I can’t be apathetic, because 89% of that word describes 100% of the people it describes: pathetic. I individually don’t have the capability to change the results yet am affected by the outcome. It’s discouraging and confusing.

Washington Post reports McAuliffe winner.

Are you saying that all libertarians are fools?

Hmmm…so given that source’s reputation for accuracy, maybe Cucinelli won after all?

Who is this guy from Texas that keeps funding all this stuff. I have heard for several years about some mysterious super rich Liberal from Texas that funds various Dem causes such as this.

Luckily VA house is 67R to 33D. But yes if you stripped away all the lies KC should have won by a good 5%.

An entire State stolen by a small group north of Fredricksburg.

I agree that Sarvis is a sleeze bag for sale.

Look at the map the Post has. How did we lose this?

Northern Va is how we lost this.

Fairfax county. Bastards.

After the information that came out that Sarvis was being bank rolled by Democrates, absolutely. Not only did people STILL vote for him, their friends didn’t warn them, apparently. The number (6.7%±) that Sarvis got could have easily defeated the Dems. If your enemy is funding you over your alley, there is something wrong. And the Dems are the ****ing enemy!

Until the libertarians can redeem themselves from this, I am going to lump them all in as fools!

Now, don’t get me started on the GOP in losing this as well. They have had so many early birthday presents to defeat Obama, and now McAuliffe, they are just a bunch of dumb asses. Yeah, Yellowfin, I am beginning to wonder if they are on the take to lose. If they think that getting America into a bad shape and turn and blame it on the Dems is a winning strategy, it isn’t. The Dems have Santa Clause to the lazy people, and they will always vote him in.

The GOP has 12 months to get their act together, or be overhauled completely.

The Libertarians really need to stop vilifying the party that has many of the same people who support them on many issues (conservatives, you know, the ones the GOP are now calling the enemies in their own party), learn to freakin’ compromise on certain social issues with them, and take the GOP back from the Rhinos together. This third party crap just cost us two critical elections!

It’s usually an ignorant position to lump so many people in to one generalization. I’m a libertarian, but I didn’t vote for Sarvis. And even if I did, the news that he was being funded by the dems didn’t break until very late. That May or may not have swayed votes but it’s not like it was plainly obvious for weeks, IMO.

Honestly…Sarvis not really being a libertarian and Dem plant or not has no bearing on the issue of the GOP nutlickers blaming us for their losses. You guys want to shut us out of the process the other 364 days of the year…then all your ills for losing elections are because of us? GFY. You tell us election after election to just bite the pillow…again for the 1 day of the year you ‘need us’…then the rest of the time you guys run to the Dems to be ‘bi-partisan’ and ‘moderate’.

Look…Obama is on the far left of American politics. These aren’t blue dog Dems running the DNC. They are communists. So if you divide politics in the US into halves, the left side is run by left side of that half. On the right half…its run by the far left of right half. Center right country? Not by a long shot. Your guys only option is to go even further left (which has been the precedent from Bush to McCain to Romney to now I guess…Christie) or turn back right to start getting better support from conservatives and libertarian leaning types…but don’t be surprised when the really far right side of the whole line of American politics starts dropping off because we can no longer distinguish you guys from being R or D unless you make a better effort to not just be a different side of the same coin as the whole big gov mechanism.

I’m not speaking for KAR98K but yes, ALL libertarians who don’t vote for a D or an R are fools.

Thank you for saying this, saved me some typing. It gets a little tiresome seeing closed minded repubicans flailing about pointing in every direction blaming someone for their loss, whether it be Libertarians, RINO’s, not enough money… I’m sure they’ll come up with more culpable parties as the week closes out.

Heres how it works… people vote for people, the people who get the most votes from people get to go into government to FV$K the people. If your people lose its because not enough people voted for your people. If you need people to blame, blame the people who voted for the people who did win.

I’m a little “L” libertarian and naturally I seek out and support libertarian minded candidates, Sarvis is not one I would have supported. Cuccinelli was by far the better candidate in this race, but like most repubicans in tight races, he ran an awful campaign.

This outcome will become the norm as people abandon the two parties…

Not enough people will not abandon the two party system to ever make a difference. I 'm down with you and Belmont on the ideology of libertarians. Belmont doesn’t want to hold his nose and vote for the lessor of evils so it appears he’s on board for throwing your vote away on principal. I’m an equal opportunity hater. The R’s are not better than the D’s. The issue I have with the L’s in Virginia is that this vote was bigger than their state.

Sorry, I guess I should have completed my thought, I was referring to the blame game of third party voters being an excuse for crummy campaigns losing the day.
