Yup…and when I’ve seen them do that they still end up with groups that are hideous.
Not to get too far off the subject of Taurus QC, but Colt (and S&W) went through a rough patch themselves in the 1970’s.
In 1972 Colt’s got sold to the Union, and their QC went down dramatically.
Not nearly as bad as what you’re looking at with a Taurus, but compared to what they’d been producing before the sale, a fair amount was sub par.
Imagine that happening in an actual defensive scenario? Very scary! I’m glad I have’nt owned a Taurus.

saw this video a long time ago.
the massive flames coming out from either side of the cylinder either point to an obstruction in the barrel just beyond the forcing cone, or the load itself was double or triple charged, and the massive pressure blew the barrel off.
although i’m not a taurus fan by any means, this looks like operator error.
