Washington Post got its hands on security camera footage of Delta capturing Anas Al Libi in Libya back in October.

I love the guys coming out at the end. Hey hey where’d the boss go?

Mini-vans: Not just for soccer moms.

Mini-vans are awesome (hell, even Costa is sporting a Honda Odyssey) for sneaky work like that. When I was doing UC work I always tried to get one when switching out burned vehicles.

Call me provincial, but I think that it is incredibly irresponsible to publish this video.

What in there shows CAG doing a snatch on a street any differently than anyone else would?

Why? Nothing not already known was shown from what I could see

  1. It’s the Post so I’m sure no one cares about OpSec

  2. It really doesn’t look like anything really significant is given away.

How similar would you say that is to how police would handle it, in the absence of an option to stand off and call out?

Police would probably swarm using more vehicles and fewer people in each vehicle as a result. When that type of stop is deemed necessary versus the standard high risk/felony style stop. They definitely would have used a third vehie to pin in the suspect veh from the rear Nd approached from the dr idea side to mitigate cross fire.

This stop leaves he back open and they use a L shape take down. I see this working as they don’t have the same style use of force rules police do. police would want to prevent the vehicle escape and subsequent pursuit. I’m sure if these guys made a break for it gunfire would ensue.

The video is what it is, but let’s be careful about detailing vehicle take-down TTPs on an open forum.

There’s differences

Not what I was expecting, but pretty damn close! Minivan takes the cake!

Understood.

They did it how I would do it, with one exception.

Immediately killed the driver?

Nosed the minivan more in towards the target vehicle. The passenger almost had his day messed up.

I just love how in 30 seconds from initiation of contact they were completely gone, along with the target car, leaving behind nothing but some smell of gun smoke, and probably some broken glass and maybe a little bit of blood. Long gone before anyone could even begin to react.

Regardless of who it was my favorite part was at the end when the guys came out. Lol, hay Mohammad is back with the falafels guys, Noooooo my falafels. Lol

you think I could talk my wife into a minivan with that reason? :o

They already knew they had the 2nd vehicle coming in to block it from the front. If they nosed it in too much the team might not have been able to get out of the sliding door.
