hi larry,
want to get your Vickers VCAS Sling for a Colt 6920 with Rogers Stock. what are the options i should order with the sling? my colt is set up as a KISS and is going to be used for home defense: stock handguard with streamlight VFG/TLR-1 attachment and an aimpoint h1 vs pro (don’t know which one yet…would like your advice on that also) and a troy rear backup with trijicon, will be getting a trijicon front sight post. what are your thoughts on this set up?
what are the options i should order with my Vickers sling:
[ol]
[li]would like quick detach option but don’t know which option to order (Push button swing swivel vs Blue Force Gear long emergency release vs Blue Force Gear SOC-c hook adapter [/li][li]should i have quick detach on both ends or just one end?[/li][li]should i attach it to the roger stock built in sling loop on the top of the stock or should i get the BFG Buttstock adapter for vicker’s sling?[/li][li]should i attach the other end to the colt’s built in loop behind the sight?[/li][li]is the sling with aluminum and steel that much more durable than the sling with plastic attachments or is the plastic attachments sufficient?[/li][/ol]
next question regarding choice of aimpoint optic. i know you’re a fan of the aimpoint micro, but i am choosing between the micro vs the pro. i’m new to carbine and am concerned about the smaller optic of the micro. i’ve read that:
-the pro is more forgiving to improper cheek weld during stressful unconventional positions
-the smaller optic of the micro may make it slower to acquire a target.
-my carbine is to be used for home defense purposes.
what are your thoughts on the above?
thanks
