I put one in my Glock 19 last week and I will never own Glock without one.
I’m going to get one of these, but I keep putting it off. :o
Even better news is that it’s now available for the big bore Glocks: http://tangodown.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=43&products_id=131 ![]()
My Lady and I will be getting these in the near future.
I’ve been putting off getting both the Vickers mag release and the APEX sear for a long time as well. Finally bit the bullet and ordered both today.
Wow, I had no idea…thanks for the heads up. That was always one of my gripes with the 21SF I used to have.
Do holsters have to be modified, so as not to press against the Vicker’s mag button?
No. I have one on my Glock 17 using a Blackhawk Serpa holster.
I put one in my G19, and will soon be ordering one for my 17 and 34. Feels just right, and installs easily.
Got the news today via email. My backordered Vicker’s Mag Catch has finally shipped!
I am not going to have to go HVAC diving yet.
i’d say so… i think the 34 release is too big personally. you can dump a mag by setting the gun left side down and pressing on it with the glock extended release.
Good to hear that it shipped, but I have to ask how the hell one wound up in there? ![]()
I ordered one from Brownells to give it a shot. I agree about too big, I tool the 34 to the range yesterday and the squared off edges are kind of annoying.
I love mine so much that I ordered one for my dad’s G19 and the others will be spares.
Dorpped it near the vent and never found it. No other place it could be.
I ordered one and loved it ,went back and ordered 3 more,I would only suggest a couple things for a glock and that is one of them.
Well at least you don’t have to fish it out now. ![]()
I’ve been carrying my G19 with the Vickers Mag Release for about 3 months so far.
Before the Vickers Mag Release I used to have to twist my grip pretty significantly to properly depress the mag release on my G19.
At first when I installed it I was concerned of accidently pressing the mag release when carrying IWB.
I am happy to report I have not had any problems with it while carrying or shooting at the range.
This extended mag release is perfect because its not too short and not too long like the Glock extended mag release. I’m definitely happy with this upgrade.
I’ve been using them on my G17, 19s, and 26. I really like them.
I had a helluva time with mag drills at a course recently using the factory release. Then last night I watched the “Tactical Arms” episode that featured Glocks. I saw the Vickers mag release, heard the rationale behind it, compared it to my problems with the factory release, and ordered three from Brownells today.
LV described the plastic factory sights as “slot fillers.” No doubt. Warren tacticals are serving my Glocks very well, both as effective sights and excellent one-hand-slide-manipulation latches…
