I was looking to sell my G17 and get a FDE G17. I am looking at both FDE Gen 3 G17 and Vickers Tactical FDE G17. I am not sure I will like the sight on LAV FDE G17 and it cost around $151.00 differents in price. I am looking for feedback from LAV FDE G17 Owners. (UPDATE) at 2214, I just Won one off of Gunbroker.com for $595.00, I finally got one.
Not a Vickers owner, but I had a G17 RTF and a G19 RTF. Sold them both–for me, the Gen. 4 dual recoil spring does more for recoil control than the RTF grip, and while the RTF does a great job of locking your grip in, it also chafes like crazy when carried against the skin. I also prefer 3 dot sights, and don’t lIke the Vickers setup. In the end my preference would be Gen. 4 > Gen. 3 > RTF. I also prefer the full FDE over the two-tone, but other than appearance, I’m not sure what difference that makes.
Approaching my final curtain and purchased his G17 & G19, to complete all models & generations of G19 & G17’s. They are for my six grandchildren to enjoy, personally I don’t like the sight setup.

Why, didn’t Larry LAV Vickers do is Vickers Tactical FDE Glock 17 & 19 in Gen. 4 ?
When I purchased the 17 & 19, they were only available in Gen 3.
Do you have a list of all the models/generations, including the LAVs?
I think the special limited edition Lipsey’s Glock 17/19 Vickers Tactical model only come in Gen. 3.

I would wager because Larry is a big fan of the RTF2 and all of the RTF2 molds are for Gen 3 frames.
Is the trigger pull different on the LAV Glocks.
Negative, dot connector. Mine spit brass in my face pretty badly, needed the Apex upgrade. I personally love the sights too.
What is a Apex upgrade?
