I know a lot of folks here like Varget. This is 8.8 lbs for $429 before tax/shipping/etc.

Hard pass for me as I prefer N140 anyway.

I’ve been using N140 lately and I’m pretty happy with it.

N135 and N140 here. I still have tons of pre-retarded priced Varget, but don’t use it too much.

What do you use n135 for?

I’m running it with the 75gr RMRs right now. We got 32 lbs of it for fairly cheap. I think I’m into my second 8 pounder.

I don’t know what MarkM uses if for but it’s pretty good for 55gr .223 and 150gr .308

I prefer heavier for cartridge bullets and the N140 seems to hold tighter groups with those.

Yea,I would never buy directly from Hodgdon, never any breaks on shipping or Hazmat. At Powder Valley it showed the 8.8 @ the same price as the 8lb,which is hard to believe,but out of stock as many 8lb jugs are. I do use Varget for limited things and it works fine but have also been using VV powder.
I’m sure some of you guys got the same email from Powder Valley that Vihtavuori powder is going up starting Aug 1st. Maybe tariffs,maybe just a general price shift. Buy it if ya need it buy it.
