This gun is one we have done lots to. We take great pride in our work and would like your 2 cents on the gun more specifically the mod we do to the mag tube were we cut witness holes.

I think it’s a clever idea.
But I think the main concern that’s going to be posted is the possibility of dirt or whatever collecting inside the mag tube. Open to moisture, etc.
Why not on both sides?
Very sweet looking smoke pole. I too thought of the same issue of debris getting into the magazine tube. Has the follower been changed to accommodate this (debris channels formed or cut into it?)
what kind of stock is that?
There is already a hole in the follower so we think if anything it helps clear the dirt.

I like it all except for the holes, including the one in the follower. The follower is SS, right? Make a checkered one. Perfect for tactile verification without increasing the chances for dirt to get into the mag.
Still a really cool looking gun. I love short shotguns, I run a Hogue youth stock on mine as well.

The gun looks great, & it sounds like the right things have been done to it. I still dont quite understand why the witness cuts are necissary. It seems like a good idea in theory, but I’m not totally sure that it would be a vast improvement.
It is just like the cuts on Wilson 1911 mags it just makes sense

I’m not sure I like the witness holes either, though. Witness holes on a pistol mag are one thing, especially when the mag is already in the gun and not open to the elements. Witness holes on the mag tube of a shotgun look like it may invite debris.
Have you guys tested these guns in classes or environments to see how much of an issue (if any) there is with dirt/debris/etc getting into the mag tube and causing function problems?
We have run them in class and fond the guns to be trouble free. That is just my experience. We have a class at the end of March with Rob Haught that should put my shot gun in the two thousand round count with the holes and I do not baby my gear.
Thats a bitching looking scattergun and i think the witness holes are a great idea.
I already have a pimped Vang 870, but do you guys work on Mossberg 590’s? I need to get this thing tweaked.
