Value of FN flat top upper

I’ve been a member for about a month and a half, I mostly just read other posts. This my first post here, I guess I haven’t had anything of value to contribute, but I do have a question and I value the opinions here over some other sites I have found.

I have a stripped FN flat top upper receiver that is unused. What would the approximate value of this be? I have another that I used on a build and I really like it, but am considering selling this one. I’ll post up some pictures later if that helps.

Do you know for a fact that it was made by FN?

It would be the same value as any other mil-spec upper like the BCM units.

I think most of these come from DRMO sales. Most of the time you can find FN barrels,BCG,…etc at gun shows.

It was bought locally. I was told by the seller that they were FN, he bought a pallet at some kind of military auction and some of the boxes on that pallet contained alot of parts (receivers, gas tubes, etc).

The “keyhole” forge mark is raised and the “F” is indented if that helps.

Looks legit.
I’ll have to look at some uppers on Monday and see if the “F” is still used and where it is located.

ammotech, based on your sig line I’d say you would know if it was legit.

Any idea as to what I should sell it for? It’s not like FN uppers are popping up every day. I don’t have enough posts to list it here so it’ll go on arf.com once I know what it’s worth.

what’s so good about FN uppers? Just the fact that they’re made by FN and they’re rare, or are they better in some way?

A combo of that… FN’s are made to the true specs required by the .gov and are only sold to the millitary. It’s rare to to find the real deal on the street.
