Yesterday I picked up a nice complete AR15 upper from a company called Valor Industries. I tried to find out on the web any info about these guys but failed to find anything.
Can you all tell me how these guys are? Do they build decent uppers. I’m especially interested in the barrel they use as the verbally told me he bore is chromed but the stamping only says “223 Wylde 1:8 USA”.
I don’t mean to sound rude, and I’m not trying to give you a hard time, but I agree with GH41. I wouldn’t buy anything of unknown quality unless I researched it first. I don’t see the point, especially in the current market, where you can get known-good items at great prices.
Skimming that page, I saw a lot of pictures, but no mention of parts/specs/etc. Also, the link to their website listed on their Facebook page doesn’t work.
They seem to have good reviews, but the people leaving the feedback may not know the first thing about what separates quality ARs from the rest. Good customer service and cheap prices doesn’t mean you’re getting a quality product.
The fact that they couldn’t or didn’t give you more specific information about their barrels concerns me. I have zero interest in a barrel that I can’t shoot 5.56 out of, but your usage may vary. Even if they’re a stand-up company trying to do the right thing, that can’t necessarily make up for lack of knowledge or the use of shoddy parts.
You bought a no name AR from a no name company. Not sure how you think we can help you. If you did a Google search and nothing is coming up, that should be a clue.
There is a member on the “other” site asking pretty much the same question. You must have bought from the same vendor. It is my guess that if you check between the two forums you will come up with the same answer.
I never visited any forum that had so much negative comments in my life! You guys are no help.
Thank you for at least replying to the posting even though you did me no good.
Just drop me from this place and I’ll never bother you idiots again.
We don’t generally drop people. You can however get banned. The easiest solution is to simply log off and look for another forum that will provide you with what you want to hear.
Dude, man up, and take your lumps. We pretty much all have along the AR road. Just chalk it up to a learning experience. There are a lot companies out there cranking out AR’s and not all of them are created equal. The one you asked about, nobody has heard of…probably should be avoided.
