Short of sending the frame back to the factory, does anybody know of the culprit and/or remedy of my USP’s safety selector/decocker “sticking” or simply not functioning?
If the lever is on FIRE, it won’t budge any further downward.
However, If I bring the lever all the way up to SAFE and THEN bring it back down it will decock the hammer.

Bought new several years ago.

Kept immaculately clean in a conditioned safe.
Only about a thousand rounds down the tube. No complaints, just this little minor inconvenience.
I’d hit the area with some high pressure polymer safe Gun Scrubber type cleaner just to eliminate the unlikely possibility that it’s debris.
Is there lateral movement in the lever? It sounds like something is moving out of place and then snapping back when you engage the safety.
