Used M2 vs New C3

I’ve been doing some round-robin on my optics lately. I had ordered an H-1 package from Botach to mount on my AK (via Ultimak - it is currently wearing a combloc PK-23 in a low 30mm mount), but discovered that the package H-1’s come sans the OEM mount. I had simultaneously picked up one of the used Comp M2’s that was on eBay (Made in Sweden, QRP mount, etc, etc). I ended up putting the H-1 on my AR pistol and the M2 with QRP on my M4.

Just for S&G’s, I mounted the M2 in the mount I have for the PK-23 and really liked the balance and sight picture I got, so I ordered one of the C3 packages from SWFA.

Now for my question (finally, right?): Which of the 2 Comp series Aimpoints would you trust your life to? The M2 is more rugged, and should be fine on the AK, but I’m not sure of it’s history. The C3 is rugged, but less so than the M2, but it is also new so it’s history isn’t in question. The AK gets treated like the dirty biker chick it is and the M4 gets treated more like a prom queen (of course, the prom ain’t over yet ). I hope to run both of these rifles through training courses between this year and next, but for now the AK is my go-to rifle.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Out of the ones you stated the M2 over the C3, but me personally I like the M3, it has the ACET tecnology for the better battery life, but other than that is like the M2.
