That’s a pricey gun.

Not once, but twice he’s been caught. The fact that so many people have been caught with guns in their carry on have led me to believe it’s one or two things.

  1. They forget that their blaster is in their bag. They’re still an idiot. When you possess a weapon and you are “carrying” it, your coconut on top of your neck needs to be turned on and tune in. Toting a gun around in a bag is not like carrying a pair of sneakers or a tube of toothpaste. BTW, most people consider themselves “carrying” a gun when it’s in a bag/sack/satchel/pouch/under the car seat/in glove box/center console.

  2. They partially heard that a gun is allowed to be on the plane. They thought literally that they are allowed to tote it in a bag onto the plane. They’re ignorant about the law that you have to check the firearm in the checked baggage.

Either those two above or could be some other reasons. They’re still idiots.

I’m not sure how people feel about him in his district, but most R’s in North Carolina are not big on him.

Might be a decent guy, but maybe not ready for that job. Like some guys in LE who might be old enough on paper, make it through the academy, but are not quite grown up enough, and have problems. I don’t know him but from various news stories, it appears he may lack discretion.

Actually, I’ve seen him on Gutfeld a couple of times and he came across as reasonable and “on our side”.

That said, yes, he should have known better!

We definitely love to eat our own. The guy is 26 and acts about like most right out of college age people I work with. A few congressman over the years and their aids have been caught with firearms when going about their way in airports. They can carry in DC and shuttle in and out of National Airport in the “special” area. Not surprised they get caught when they have to travel like normal people outside of DC. From talking to my neighbors around Sneads Ferry, NC they say the Raleigh/Durham republicans hate him because he was on the Trump train.

I believe everything he says about the parties and drugs. The Congressional Page system is like a legal prostitution ring from stories the USCP has told me. When McCarthy came out after a meeting and said Cawthorn would have to earn his trust again. That definitely signaled to me that McCarthy probably told Cawthorn to get with the program and keep your mouth shut and Cawthorn probably said no. David

Members of Congress cannot be stopped when traveling to/from Congress. I think Byrd pulled cited this once to get out of arrest.
