US Bank opens fake customer accounts

I think we’ve seen this movie before:

Our cable/internet company around here stopped going after fraud/non-paying accounts since the more accounts they show open did better for their stocks. This came from an ex-coworker who went to the cable company as a security/investigator guy. Probably happens in more places than we know.
