Hi all-- received my new upper today and tried to slap it on my Daniel Defense lower but having problems with the takedown pins both going in. If I get the front pin to go in, the rear won’t and vice versa (get the rear pin in and front won’t go in). The upper and lower look like they fit/align well-- I’m stumped. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks.
What make is your upper?
Do you have access to a known good upper and lower? If you do, swap them around to isolate the problem then contact the manufacturer.
Thanks gents. It’s a no-name brand. I have buddy down at Pendleton who’s an armorer and builds uppers as a hobby. Can’t reach him tonight so I thought I’d ask the good folks of this forum who might hazard a guess as to the prob. It’s definitely the upper, cuz my DD upper has no probs mating with the lower.
