Hello all. I have a BCM Carbine with approximately 700 rds. through it. I have noticed wear in the upper reciever by the gas key cutout in three different areas. the first two are fore and aft of the cut along the contact area of the carrier. The third spot is aft of the cutout in the area where the gas key cams into the cutout.
I know that many AR’s exhibit wear in this area but was wondering if someone could provide photos of similar wear in their rifle. I do not have a camera and cannot provide images of my rifle. Any photos and/or insight into the topic would be appeciated. Sorry for the long post.
