Looking for a recs on a complete upper. 16” either with a mid weight type barrel or something tapered. Trying to avoid a straight pencil barrels just because preference. Maybe that’s dumb on my part. It’ll be a general purpose rifle with a 1-4 AccuPower most likely. Maybe an Aimpoint.

13-15” mlok rail. Or an upper without a rail and I can put on a Centurion CMR because I’ve wanted one of those for a while.

Was looking at a complete Sionics upper. There’s BCM of course but looking at other options as well. Midwest Industries has some nice complete uppers with Criterion Hybrid barrels.

With or without a BCG. Doesn’t matter. If not getting one with the upper I’ll use an LMT BCG with an enhanced bolt.

Have been very happy with my 14.5 BCM, 13” kmr. I use it for hunting, “long” range (~400m), and close range classes depending on the set up.

BCM sells 16" mid gas uppers with gov profile barrels and the CMR rail.

Mine is a mid gas, gov profile and it runs great for me. No reliability issues at all. Chews just about all ammo I run through it.

I run a very similar upper to this and am also exceptionally happy with it ( BCM 14.5 ELW Mid with 13inch KMR and pinned BC 1.5 . )

As previously stated, very reliable and chews just about anything.

BCM ELW barrels are good shooters. They also have enhanced medium weight barrels in 14.5.

I like the BCM ELW uppers. I have two rifles with 14.5" barrels.

Yea will probably just do BCM ELW. It’s the safe bet although boring. It’s like when I buy Glocks now, not even exciting. Feels like a chore lol.

I understand it isn’t quite complete, but the mlok mrp upper lmt has on sale 12-23 would be hard to pass up. Order the upper, barrel, and bcg at the same time. It’ll take all of 2 minutes to put it together.

Best chore ever! “You was the dishes… I’ll go buy a gun.” All kidding aside there’s always the fun of building out the rest of the rifle. Or you can try your hand at building your own upper. Hell, you can even build it with BCM parts!
