Upper build/sound alright?

This is a build i’m doing to be my defensive/training rifle for many thousands of hard rounds. The lower is…
Lauer lower (re-branded LMT)
G&R guts (thanks Grant)
G&R mil-spec rec. ext.
G&R H buffer w/ a tactical springs CS spring
ASAP plate
BAD
MIAD
ACS
Potential upper…
Vltor MUR w/deflector and bolt assist
BCM BCG
BCM BFH 16" middy barrel
Vltor low pro gas block (that i’ll set screw and pin myself, I have the jigs and ability)
Vortex
Haven’t decided on rail yet…
Optics and BUIS are a whole 'nother animal,
Suggestions? Comments? Criticisms?

Thanks

That sounds good so far. I would look at a LaRue tactical 11.0 Rail. It will cover the gas block. Do you have any idea what route you want to go with optics? If you want a good all around optics you might want to look at the Trijiacon TA-33R-8 ACOG with a LaRue base. http://www.trijicon.com/User/parts/products1.cfm?PartID=557&back_row=2&categoryID=3
It works for close up and it gives you a 3X magnification. I have had one for about two years and this thing is great.

You read my mind about the rail. The LaRue 11" is my top choice right now. I believe it would end just past the Vltor gas block. Although DD and others make some really nice stuff, I keep coming back to the LaRue. I have yet to try an ACOG, but I understand it’s abilities. I’m leaning more toward an Aimpoint Micro. Thanks for the input.

The 11.0 LaRue will cover all of the gas block. I can post a pic of mine when I get home. The T-1 is a good optic. If you are going to go with that then you might also want to get a set a MagPul MBUS for your Iron Sights. They are a good set of sights and you can’t beat them for the money. The only reason I would go with a set a Troy over the MBUS is if you are going to use a scope, the MBUS are too high for most scope mounts.

Buddy, you’ve got to stop reading my mind… A T-1 with MBUS is number one on the mental list. So you’re already runninig this set-up?

Yes, but I have a 14.5 Noveske barrel instead of the BCM. It rocks!!!
