Upgrades?

So, I started off with a basic Bushmaster AR - 15 style carbine. Over the last year I have replaced the upper with barrel to a LMT upper and barrel.I’ve installed an A.R.M.S rail system. I Put a surefire vertical grip with white light. Bought a Aimpoint Comp 3ML. Anyway to my question,The only original parts are the lower with bolt, carrier, and trigger. The gun runs fine. I’ve never had an issues. My training usually only runs 300 - 400 rounds at a time. So should I put some money into a new lower, bolt & carrier, or maybe a new trigger system? Is it worth it or should I just stick to the old Bushy parts? Thanks in advance. Take care of yourselves and all those around you!!!

If this is your only AR Id swap some parts for quality ones. BCM, LMT, ect. Keep the old ones as spares.

i agree with what belmont said. plus once you get those parts replaced, you can put all of the old/spare parts back into the original bushmaster config and have 2 whole ar’s??? that’s what i’d do.

I was thinking the same thing Biz! In fact I did just that a few years back with a PC I slowly upgraded. Got it done and realized the factory case was crap so bought a new one too. Just like an AR I shoulda just left the first one alone and built the second.

yeah that’s what i’d do fo sure. get whatever flavor of BCG you like, either LMT or bcm or whatev, then another complete lower and 2 complete rifles, awesome. or just get a bcg and have atleast 2 complete uppers, thats basically the same thing i guess.

Nothing wrong with the lower…I’d just get a BCM or LMT BCG and keep the bushy BCG as a spare.

Upgrade the BCG with a Bravo Company and keep on running it. I wouldn’t mess with the trigger personally if it’s working for you. Sounds like you’re good to go.

There’s nothing really wrong with the Bushy lower…I’d do my best to wear it out before replacing anything in/with it.

P.S. You’d be surprised where you might find Bushies doing bad things to bad people.

Exactly what I was about to say.
