Unity RDS mount and BUIS

Been using a Unity 2.26/Aimpoint Micro. Love the taller mount for a variety of reasons. It’s a keeper.

That said, I’ve got a set of MBUS Pro on the rifle. While using a LaRue LT660 mount I preferred the flip down style irons because it kept them out of lower 1/3 co-witness view until flipped up. However, co-witness though the RDS is no longer at issue while using the taller Unity mount. Been thinking about a set of DD Rock & Lock. Always ready and no dicking around with flipping up if needed. Anyone here consider similar with their rifle?

I just use the integral sight in the mount for the rear sight the front is an FSP.

ETA: If I were to go the route you’re describing I’d switch to the Arisaka mount…
