I am considering totally getting rid of the underfolder stock on my Polish AK. I’ve noticed a couple products that do just that. Does anyone have any experience with these underfolder stock replacements? Should I be looking to trade the whole gun instead? Thanks,
If you can’t hang with the underfolder, I think you have the wrong rifle… although the AA Ok solution doesn’t look as horrible as some of the other options.
OP, what stock do you want on an AK; 100 series folder, AR, wire folder, Ace/Galil/Beryl style folder, stadard buttstock?
If you want a side folder then you are going to have to have some serious work done to your current rifle. As the others have stated, you may want to sell it and use the funds to purchase what you really want.
Just a standard stock, for a better cheek weld. I have an NHM 91 and SBR’d Draco, they are more comfortable to shoot than the under folder. But, the under folder is a nice gun,
If the underfolder’s not for you, sell it. You should be able to get decent money depending on the quality of the build, receiver used, etc. I don’t really care for underfolders either, except on my Draco underfolder.
Would greatly appreciate you reporting back when you get it to the range, that looks pretty good.
The problem I have is I don’t know for sure who actually made the rifle. Seller told me one thing, that company told me they didn’t. There are no maker markings on the gun,
Unless an individual made the receiver himself, there has to be some sort of marking on the receiver. Is the receiver (not the front trunnion) serial numbered?
I think there might be a little confusion. The pic is not of the OP’s rifle. It was an example of a stock adapter on a rifle I built. But you’re correct, CNCW Yugo UF receiver.
My rifle is stamped. It has one serial number for the parts kit that was used. It has a serial number and addy for the Nodak Spud receiver that was used, but no builders mark. Unless Nodak Spud builds rifles?
I tried the underfolder. It wasn’t my cup of tea. I grew tired of pissing with it and sold it for a little profit . I later saved up for my 100 series side folder. All the benefits of a poly fixed stock, and all the benefits of being able to fold up.
Ok, then the rifle goes by the serial on the Nodak (that’s the firearm portion). If there are no barrel markings or proof marks, then I’d assume it’s likely a US made barrel.
NoDak Spud does not do builds (other than to test). Since there is no other manufacturer mark on the receiver, then it’s 99% that an individual built it.
