While some focused blame only on the gunman, world opinion over U.S. gun laws was almost unanimous: Access to weapons increases the probability of shootings. There was no sympathy for the view that more guns would have saved lives by enabling students to shoot the assailant.

The shooting of these students and faculty is tragic of indescribable porportions, and is only made real to us far removed from the families by the stories of the victims themselves. A story like the holocaust survivor who at 76 barred the door so some of his students could escape until the door was breached and he was shot. He is certainly a hero.
Another idea of a hero would have been someone with a ccw weapon to have shot this lunatic. We never seem to have that kind of an ending to a story like this. I am afraid that it is only a matter of time before congress will capitalize on this tragedy to limit the RTKBA.
We had a case here in NM where a CCW saved a womans life in a Wal*Mart. Theres no question, if sombody(Student,Faculty, Staff) would have been a ccw holder this Psycho might have been stopped.
$50 bucks says they bring the assualt weapons ban back after this tragedy. Good bye AR-15’s.
Funny thing is the idiot kid used a Glock 9mm PISTOL, and a Walther .22 PISTOL. Yet yesterday on the news the news crew went to the store where the guy bought his pistols, and showed a couple pistols thru a glass case for maybe 10 seconds. They then filmed a line of AR-15’s on the wall and had the gun store guy bring some down off the wall so they could film them. They showed the AR’s for the rest of the 2 minute story. The kid didnt own an AR and never used an AR yet the story was all about america’s “Assualt Weapons” and the crime they cause. I was like WHAT!!!
