Anyone own anything from Tyr they would like to share their opinion about? Anyone have a good review of the PICO?
I’ll have my multicam PICO on the 28th. I can give you a review then.
I have a bpc from them that ill be reviewing soon.
The bpc is very comfortable. I was up in the air about which to buy and went with the tyr. There is a wait time though so if that is acceptable I would not hesitate to order one.
…
I have their war belt and pouches. Very high quality gear.
i had a few of their mag pouches and smoke pouches on my recent deployment and they seem to have stood up better than anything i was issued or the stuff i bought from the px whatever brand that they sell
I would very much like a review on the PICO, pictures if possible. How’s the belt I heard that if you use te PALS webbing, it’s not tight.
I have a couple of their smaller items, an armboard and a Foretrex pouch. One of them has some stitching coming undone, easily repairable but I shouldn’t have to. The other has one of the straps that retain the Foretrex tearing. Not a big deal unless I’m taking it in and out.
I haven’t had very good luck with communication with them. I asked about buying some more inserts for the armboard, asked if they could produce an insert with both sides clear, neither got a response. Also asked if they could make their PLRF-05/Kestrel case a little bigger so it would fit a PLRF-10C and again no response. At least a “go pound sand” would have been something. I can’t be the only one with these requests.
I like their stuff and they have some excellent designs, but it would be nice if they were a little more communicative.
I have a couple of their pouches, top notch.
I have their assault pack, various pouches, and assault backpanel, all of which are top notch. The pack was excellent my last deployment. Tough, lightweight, and well thought-out gear. I have their new roll-up shooting mat on order right now.
A review would be nice. Video if possible. Thank you
I’ll post pics when I get mine. Anything in particular you want to see up close?
A video review would be nice thank you.

I have the lwpc, It’s the best peace of gear I own. I love it, its been through 3 classes and hundreds of hours of training. It has performed vary well, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good pc.
I have their MSS Sniper GP pouch, 6x6 GP pouch, admin pouch with light, and SOF IFAK medical pouch all in both Ranger Green and Multicam (I liked it so much I had to get one for each kit!)
I use the pouches on a FirstSpear Strandhogg and couldn’t be happier!
TYR pouches are very light weight while still being extremely durable.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, and will be buying more from their product line.
I recently picked up a pouch and was sent the wrong color. I called their customer service number and told them what had happened - the woman apologized and said to keep the other pouch, and a replacement would be in the mail shortly.
In summary, they have excellent customer service, and great products. If it wasn’t for the Tubes set up on the Strandhogg, I would have gone with a Pico without question.
I throw in my support as well. I have a handful of Tyr pouches (mag, radio, hydro, & med) and have been pleased with everything so far. Has held up a little better aesthetically than my BFG pouches, though I prefer the lower profile of BFG’s molle mounting straps.
