Two 1991A1's.....What to do, what to do. Need advice

So I have a GOV and CDR 1991’s that I want to rework. THe GOV will be turned into a Wiley Clappesque pistol for my daughter when I feel that she is ready. Same birthyear. Now I am up in the air with the CDR. I was thinking of turning into a Wiley Clappesque CDR but bobtailing the frame. ThenI got to thinking… (which is bad)… and I am wondering if I can try and find a 1991A1 LIghtweight Officer frame and turn it into a CCO. They way I look at it if I can fit both frames to the same slide, in theory, I could walk out with a bobtailed and CCO’d 1991A1. This would in turn let me find a 2013 Wiley Clapp to get my son for when he becomes of age. Is this crazy or am I on to something? Need some help, the good idea fairy is waving his G#$!amned wand. Thanks guys.

Keep 'em stock and have 'em built in a few years when they’re ready for 'em. Stock basic Colts are always in style.

Trends change and you don’t want to give your kids out style pistols!!

+1, my thoughts exactly.

I’d take the $ you want to spend on the pistols and buy more ammo so you and your kids can shoot the crap out of them.

I am sensing a pattern… lol
