Quick reaction by the homeowner but its a shame that he didn’t put more rounds into those scumbags.
Home invasions seem to be happening a lot more especially with the current state of the economy.

Im curious why they specifically targeted that residence in the middle of the day? There has to be “More to this story”.
I dont see many thugs taking that kind of risk unless they know exactly what they are looking for.
Or, Perhaps they simply knew that the homeowner was a gun owner with a big collection that they were coming for…
Good windshield shot by the homeowner. Luckily he was monitoring the cameras and had a little advance warning. That could have turned out real bad if the attackers hadn’t been seen. Especially since they had a AR15 or M16 “that could have been automatic” at least they didn’t say assault rifle. David
This is becoming common in the Southwest.
These kinds of things have been known to happen in AZ even in daylight. I would assume that the cops would have poked around closer if they had any other suspicions.
I’m thinking this is drug related somehow. Just call it a hunch ![]()
Maybe they thought no one was home.
Or at least they didn’t just assume and say “full automatic assault weapon”.
[QUOTE=R/Tdrvr;308547]Maybe they thought no one was home.
If that was the case why would they bust in guns blazing? They must have known what they were looking for at that place.
recently they want you home !!
that way they can tie you up rape the wife then torture you for your pin numbers while they drain your bank accounts and have a while to do so
A lot of the convicted burglars I have talked to while I am guarding them at the courthouse seem to prefer to work in the middle of the day because the chances of anyone being home in the whole neighborhood is pretty low.
I’m inclined to believe that they may have thought that nobody was home but had made the prior decision that if that proved to be false to go ahead and make it a home invasion instead of just a simple act of B&E.
But this is nothing more than a SWAG on my part.
Did you see the viewers comments @the bottom?
Seems like Iraqguns… is wise.
But if the homeowner is near the age of his neighbor, since we did not see him/her? We may also conclude perhaps ‘Sonny’ or even lil’ ‘Suzie’ may have ‘told’ somebody about this residence. Possibly as a way to ‘settle-up’ a debt?
“We promise we wont hurt anyone”!
“We just want what you owe…esai !”
Would it suprise anyone if the peer pressure of the muzzle from a Glock is a bit more than peer pressure?
Michael
In my experience I think Carlos’ assessment is pretty accurate.
That seems to be what’s going on now.
In my experience, a home invasion like this is most likely drug related ( a drug rip). I have never seen burglars go in a group that big and armed with a rifle and other guns. I’m sure the Police have not shared all of the information they have on this one yet.
Many home invasion robberies happen to legimate successful small business owners. To hide cash from the IRS small business man bring there daily receipts home. The home invaders stake out a small business and watch to see if the owner makes daily deposits at the end of the day. If he doesn’t the follow him home and rob him and get great score. Laundry mats, car washes, liqueur stores are great examples. So to assume the victim is dirty may be a bit bold.
Notice this little bit of fear mongering?
“One of them is carrying what appears to be an AR-15 or M-16, a weapon which could be fully automatic.”
Now I wonder if my handguns at the ready will be enough . . .
Run awaaaay, Run Awaaaayyyyyyyyy

Yeah, nice shot placement considering it’s a high stress moment and he double tapped that winshield pretty close to the driver side !! Too bad he did not nail them clean.
If I were the NRA, I’d be a little leary about putting this in the Rifleman as a citizen action! Let’s see, whose home during the day, with a Tony Montana video security system, with guns near the front door, who refuses to be interviewed. HHHmmmmm.
I might not want to be interviewed either since he won the battle, but might loose the war.
Why only a couple of rounds in the windshield??? I’m still a little fuzy on the details. Had the guy just pulled into the garage and they pulled in behind him? But then how do the cameras fit in.
Were the perps illegal?
