I read my own post and realized that it didn’t make sense.
What I want is my red-dot to be high enough so that if it dies, I can flip up BUIS and keep going. My red-dot is too low right now and when I look through my BUIS, I’m looking through the top portion of the red-dot and can barely see anything over my front sight. I don’t need them to work together at the same time.
What is the average height I would need to raise it. I have a 1" Armalite mount that came with my riffle that I heard work well for this. The problem is, my red-dot is 30mm. Maybe I can trade some one here on the site my 1" for a 30mm if that will work. If the Armalite mount is not tall enough, what mount or riser would you guys suggest.
