Trust Engraving

I am awaiting approval for my SWR Omega 300 (any day now, check was cashed on 2-11-09!)to be used on my precision rifle, and went the trust route. I am now looking at putting together my first SBR, and understand that I need to do the following:

  1. form 1’s
  2. $200 check
  3. trust documents
  4. certification of trust
  5. engrave the receiver

My question relates to what I need to have engraved on the receiver? My trust is named FIRST MIDDLE LAST REVOCABLE LIVING TRUST. Can the receiver be engraved FIRST MIDDLE LAST R.L.T.?

I’ll be using an lmt 10.5 upper mated to a complete RRA lower. I also have a sun devil stripped lower that I was thinking of using instead, but have no spare parts for it…what say you?

From what I understand all you need is:

“First Middle (initial) LAST Trust”
“My City, State”

“Revocable Living” is not necessary. It’s a trust, revocable Living trust just specifies what kind of trust. That’s what all the one’s I’ve seen said. Besides that would be hard to fit.

“JOHN Q PUBLIC RLT” or “JOHN Q PUBLIC TRUST” is acceptable.

Most engravers won’t bother with punctuation as it’s unnecessary.
