So POTUS makes some typically flippant comments about the fact the US needs Greenland for national security. Per usual, how he said it leaves much to be desired, but that’s his thing, he likes to mess with people. Some times it’s funny and entertaining, some times it’s unproductive and sets US goals back. People take every single word he says literally, now they’re convinced, especially after what we just did south of the border, the US is gonna drop troops on Greenland and take over by force. I think there’s 0.001% chance of that happening, but the freak out is real. Maybe it’s Trump and co playing 3D chess and just want to rattle Denmark a bit so they offer the US what ever they want as far as new bases and such. Quick sit rep on it:
We do need to, it has vast deposits of critical resources that we can’t let China or Russia have and would be an absolutely massive economic boon for the USA. The EU won’t let Denmark develop those resources and they’ve been trying to get rid of it for decades anyway, the only reason they’re putting up a stink now is “Trump”.
I think Trump has a better idea what’s going on and good for the EU, than the EU does.
So Greenland works two ways;
Everytime Trump has a discussion about Greenland, he’s warning the EU as to what is sitting there and how valuable it is. He can’t believe they don’t want it and it’s just sitting there.
Everytime Trump want’s to erase the Chalkboard and move on to something else, He talks about Greenland.
He talks about Greenland and closes the border, He talks about Greenland and deports a million or so folks, He talks about Greenland and Drops the Hammer on some Democrats, He talks about Greenland and grabs Modero.
How/why does the EU prevent them from developing the resources? The US has attempted to purchase it several times, they have said no each time. What is source for they have actively been trying to dump it?

Trump wants Greenland like I want a new Corvette. You see if I tell my Wife I really want a new Corvette, maybe go out and test drive it???
I can spend $3K on a new gun if I will just shut up about spending 150K for a new Corvette (That I really don’t want anyway.) and you know depending on how you play that, it works throughout your marriage several times, just alternate Bass Boat in there occasionally..
But if somewhere along tha line someone gives me a new Corvette and then it’s kind of a Win/Win.
I truly believe Greenland is more than that to Trump, he views it as a vital piece in the war to drive China out of the Western Hemisphere and also vital in it’s abundance of natural resources. Venezuela was not just about drugs or Maduro, it was about toppling one of the primary Chicom and Russian load bearing pillars in our hemisphere and now it’s about watching all the rest of their cards fall down, ie. Cuba, Mexico, etc and taking advantage of that to rebuild American hegemony in this part of the world. Greenland will be a continuation of that IMO.
After being proved wrong time and time again, it’s no less than head-shaking how many folks continue to believe the opposition knows better than Trump on these issues. I suppose some people simply enjoy the gaslighting.
Trump wants access to Greenland for strategic defense and minerals. Population is only something like 50k, largely poorly educated indigenous people employed in the fishing industry and government. Trump will most likely lease whatever parts of Greenland that will best serve America’s interests.
I just heard a stat that the EU has given Russia more money in the last four years for gas than they have given Ukraine for defense. So yeah, screw the EU and NATO as they are not serious people.
Because they don’t have to. They know, that we know, that they know, there’s a 0.01% chance of the US legit showing up and taking it by force. So, Trump shakes the tree to troll and make the derp derps freak out, there’s some silly back and forth between them, and for PR the Euro countries sent a handful of troops to impress their voters and such, and Trump uses that as pressure and tactic to get the best deal for the US. It may include Euro/NATO nations agreeing to pay for part of it, station more mil there, etc. For such a “dumb” guy Trump is as claimed by hand ringers, he seems to play them all like amateurs.
Here’s the thing, it is pretty much rich in natural resources and empty.
Being a semi autonomous Danish Territory all of those natural resources will be harvested, We can do it with the Help of Denmark and the US, Denmark and Greenland Win or the Russians and Chinese can take it out of the earth any damned way they please.
Even if you don’t want to exploit it at least let us have it to explore what is there.
But again I still feel like this is Trump trolling everyone again.
They are also overrun with third worlders to the point young people cannot find housing, which is provided to the immigrants for free. The abuse there makes our Somali daycare fraud look like nothing.
