…Built this a couple months ago and am really digging it. The 15" rail gives you a rifle length sight radius with a carbine length barrel. I went with a Colt 6520 barrel and old school A1 short stock. She is light and fast.

I’m really wanting one. I have a 13in VTAC and have run that for over a year now on my 3gun rifle. This past weekend at the Brownells Pro/Am 3gun @ Rockcastle Troy had a booth setup and one of the demo guns had the 15in TRX on it. REALLY liked it.
I almost went with the 13" but decided on the 15". The 15" rail allows you to grab the gun further out towards the end of the muzzle and drive the gun as they say. Plus you get that extended sight radius/length.
I’m liking the looks of that.
Friend just used the same rail with a 14.5" barrel and the Troy claymore brake. Looks nice brake just barely sticks out of the rail.
looking great, I’m starting to like the “light” rails like the TRX and predatar.
The rail is cool, but I really like the overall practical nature of the iron sighted rifle.
Even though I use a RDS 80% of the time if I were going to build a “irons” only rifle this would be a neat way to do it but with a DD fixed front sight to replace the folding front sight.
