Troy rails

Hey guys,

I’ve been trying to patiently wait for my 10.5" upper and an Omega rail, and the middy Omegas to come out. In the mean time I’ve just been kind of looking at rails in general. For the Troy sights to be so popular the rails don’t seem near as popular. Is there a reason? They seem pretty reasonable priced. Along the lines of the Omega. Similar continuous rail too. Are these especially heavy, difficult to install, loose fitting, or anything? Just kind of wondered why I hadn’t seen more of them.

I think they’re a little on the heavy side, but I absolutely love mine. It’s as good a rail as most. Maybe not as good (read light) as the DD, but it is extremely solid and easy to install. And the price is fantastic. Indeed, why aren’t they more popular?

It’s gotta be the weight. I’ve got a 7" and i like it, but I would prefer the DD over it. I just didn’t want to mess with removing the FSB :wink:
