troy looks great I wish I could find when I’ll come there in the summer time
i had to use a hammer with a dowel to tap them off. YMMV
They’re not hard to find - where are you from?
here in turkey it is hard to find these things cause the import of these products are forbiden or limited. ![]()
I have a TROY 13.5 on my Infidel build with the 13.7 bbl and KX-3. The Troy fuctions great on the rifle and even looks great. I think they build a quailty productfor the price. I have a DD 10in on the way for a SBR so I will be conducting my own R&D / comparison testing soon (Any excuse to go to the range Woo Hoo!!!)![]()
is the weight difference noticable? looking it up online it appears to only be 1 or 2 ounces heavier then the standard carbine handguards
i don’t notice the 2oz difference.
Does anyone know if Grant has these?
it looks like he has them in black for $149.
check GandR Tactical.com
I ordered a set directly from the factory and received them today. Mine have some changes from the first set of pictures posted.

Instead of using hex screws, the screws are now a slot head for a standard flat tip screwdriver.

There are cuts in the rails that allow for the KAC rail covers to be installed. I installed one cover to see how well the slots worked and the cover locked into place. I will say the KAC covers are very tight and required a light tap from a rubber hammer to get the cover off.
Overall, I am very impressed with the rails and am glad I made the decision to get them.
I’m glad to hear they made that change, but it irks me a little bit as I already have one of the older DI rails.
I want KAC cuts and I don’t feel the desire to take a file to my rifle.
I know that TROY product is a good one. If cost is an issue you could always look toward YHM on their Carbine Length two Piece 4 rail drop in. It is a little heavier but still a good product.
stupid question…but how do they differ? I got a Troy DI last week. any pictures of the cuts?
Here are some pics. They aren’t the best, but they show the changes. Hope this helps.

OK, that is great. Mine are like that. Thanks.
We have them and include a FREE MAGPUL PMAG with each one! ![]()

Wish I had know about this earlier and could have added it to my recent order. ![]()
Greetings,
Based in part on this thread, I too purchased the MRF-DI. I am very pleased with this purchase! It locks up very tight–even without the four screws. I have mounted KAC panel covers on it. Yes they fit very tight, but they won’t get loose or fall off.
The whole purchase experience from the factory was outstanding.
Thanks for everyone’s input into this–and other threads–with respect to the Troy Industries MRF-DI.![]()
