Legions are a work of art and are amazing. However you can buy 2 troys (or colts/bcms) for the price of 1 Legion.
Not familiar with Legion at all. 2300 for a rifle and they don’t even give you the specs on it? I recognize the battlecomp and grip and stock, but don’t have a clue as to the barrel, bcg, fcg etc. Do they make their own parts? They are in Noveske territory with that price. I would never personally drop that kind of coin on a rifle and not know what I am buying. They don’t even tell the twist ratio of the barrel. Who does that?![]()
As for the Troy, I am not sure who they used to source their barrel or bcg or fcg either. But they do make good sights and rails so at least I know they can do something right. I didn’t see the price of the Troy rifle though, how much is that one going for?

Around $1000 at Dicks.
There was just a thread about Legion not too long ago. Their owner chimed in, and seems like a stand up guy. He put the specs forth, cleared up some legal issues and said they were updating their site so… their weapons seem legit, their web team… not so much ![]()
ETA heres that thread…enjoy
Fair enough. I didn’t say that they were crap, I just said the specs aren’t on the site and I don’t know anything about them. They might make Noveske look like BM, they might be overpriced garbage. Not sure.
Legion’s receivers are 45/90 compatible ![]()
We’ve been working with them for couple of years, they are stand up guys with whom we find much in common ![]()
I ask cuz DefenseReview just posted an article on Legion, and they said they were able to shave half a pound off the barrel just from dimpling it. Thought that was kind of cool.
Are you actually going to buy either one of these firearms?
Toss it in his safe with his Nemo 300 win mag AR.
I met LF at SHOT this year and they were good guys and their rifles seem to be top quality. Im not a big fit and finish guy but they have put some serious time and effort into everything i saw.
Legion-who? Looks like another Gucci-assembler.
To quote a line from a movie: “Very pretty. But, can they fight?”
Vapor Trail wins the internet. He just wins it. To be here doing this for so long now is just amazing, and at this point I’ve just got to give credit where it’s due. The video game avatar. The questions. The quote about being an armed citizen while admitting to not owning a gun. All of it, and he’s still here. What an amazing story of success against all odds.
No, he’s not. I believe we have to wait until he moves out of his parents house.
Really? Are we back to “vs.” threads?
DaveL, just do a search on the threads Vapor Trail has started. I think there’s mention of a .338 LM bullpup in there somewhere…
I just read his last 50 posts… :suicide:
Let’s not forget the .50 BMG bullpup, that was a good time.
…when are you going to get that the “versus” threads asking after some broad-brush “better” that you can’t be bothered to define are going to be shut down?
Learn to define what you mean by “better.” Better yet, learn to ask more focused questions than “what’s better…?” as a general practice, and stop wasting our bandwidth.
If one wants a thread entitled brand-name vs. brand-name to survive, one’d better manage to narrow the topic WAY further than this Romper Room “what’s better?” BS in the OP of the thread.
